September 2, 2010 Newsletter

Isn't it amazing how fast a week goes by? "It's time to write another Update" so Cindy says to me! It's always exciting to see what has come in or what news we have to share since the last newsletter! We got to see Judy this past Saturday at the Sit-n-Sew. She popped in for a short visit and looks great! We can't wait to have her back on a regular basis and teaching her classes again. We are taking sign-ups for them so call or come in to get enrolled. We will be open this weekend even though it's a Holiday weekend. Our Holiday hours are Saturday 9-5, Sunday 1-5, and Monday 10-4 (yes we are closing a little early to be able to celebrate a little bit with our families!). We are celebrating our 2nd Anniversary on Saturday the 25th of September! We are going to have door prizes, special sales, snacks and tons of fun! You won't want to miss it! The Garland Guild is going to have their raffle quilt here that day for you to drool over and purchase your raffle tickets too! Until next week .....
Take care, and we hope to see you soon!
Love, Teena

Begins January, 2011
Hand OR Machine Applique
If you choose the hand applique, every month you
will get a free lesson on the weekend of the block
pick-ups from Sally Ashbacher.
If you choose the machine applique method,
you will be able to choose between doing free hand
cutting of the shapes, or use your Roses of Remembrance

you purchased from us.
Once you apply your fusible webbing to the material in your BOM package, you bring it to the store with your die to cut out your shapes on our wonderful AccuGo quilt machine. If you own one of these already, you may purchase the die cut and do yours at home! It's a great investment and I foresee other patterns coming soon that uses the AccuGo Fabric Cutter so if your thinking about the purchase of one, we will be glad to assist you! You will love the quilt, it is a very rich in batik colors and will be a joy to work on.
All of the fabrics are from Island Batik.
Patterns are not included in the BOM Fee. You will need either The Rose of Sharon Block Book from Martingale, or Sharon Pederson’s DVD, where she will teach you the quilt-as-you-go method for finishing the blocks. Your quilt back will be just as stunning as the top. All of these are available at the shoppe.
